Of the deceased: name, address, age, religion, date of birth, date of death, place of death.
Next of kin: name, address, phone number, email.
A.N.Other contact person: name, address, phone number, email.
Funeral arrangements: where and when, burial plot number, final resting place of ashes.
The bill payer: name, address, date of birth, phone number, email.

Why do we collect the above information?

To enable us to provide the service requested of us.

Analytics

Our analytics are stored and processed by Google and Jetpack.

Who we share your data with

Only those third parties that are also involved in the provision of the specific funeral service and they only are told the information that is specific to the service asked of them e.g: Clergy persons, Doctors, crematorium or cemetery offices, florists, printers, newspapers etc..

We DO NOT sell on or pass on any of this information to any company or person that is not connected with the provision of the specific funeral service.

How long we retain your data

The main funeral file is kept for 10 years, it is then destroyed.

An abbreviated funeral file is kept indefinitely.

What rights you have over your data

You can request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

You contact information sent to us is not shared with any other third-parties.

We do not: use names and addresses for marketing purposes either postal, telephonic or email.

How we protect your data

We keep records of clients on a PC in a locked room in an alarmed building. The PC is backed up on to memory sticks – which are then kept in a heavily locked safe, in a locked room, in an alarmed building. Paper records are kept in the same alarmed building and are destroyed at 10 yrs of age. Index cards are kept forever, in a lockable steel cabinet.
